Sandra’s unique approach to recovery is widely popularized amongst many, from professional athletes to novice exercisers. Her extensive knowledge, in several different recovery methods, has allowed her to adapt to each client with an individualized program geared to their specific needs. Whether that is to perform and progress safely within their training, or they are dealing with a specific clinical limitation in their body. Although Sandra is traditionally trained, most of her techniques have been developed through her own creativity and intuition, leaving you with a truly original bodywork experience. Her combination of stretches, trigger point release, flow and balance, will feel closer to a journey rather then a standard bodywork session.

FASCIAL STRETCH THERAPY (FST)

Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST), is a manual table based therapy where the client’s fascia is stretched in order to improve their joint movements. This practice combines oscillating movements and Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF), in order to achieve a pain-free, relaxing deep-stretch. FST allows the release of any built-up stress within the fascia – encouraging better circulation, improved posture, and higher energy levels. Some other benefits of FST are:

THAI MASSAGE

Nuad Boran, most widely known today as Thai Massage, is seen as a direct application of the Buddhist principle of ‘Metta’ – ‘loving kindness’. Consisting of a series of interactive, flowing movements, stretches, and rhythmic massage, this practice effectively heals mind, body, and soul along with all of the body’s energy lines and pressure points. Elements of Yoga and Indian Ayurveda are combined with universal healing principles in order to harmonize and balance the flow of energy throughout the body. This “meditation in movement” is performed with the client comfortably clothed on a special Thai mat and can result in a profound release from deep mental, physical, and even emotional stress. Using a vast array of signature exercises and techniques which can change from class to class, the class will be brought to life by very energetic, vivacious instructors who want to create the ultimate party atmosphere.

Don’t be nervous for your first Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu class. The class participants might seem tight knit, but BJJ practitioners are a friendly bunch. You will soon be one of them. Arrive a few minutes early and introduce yourself to the Coach. The Coach will ensure you are properly introduced and integrated. You will be paired with an appropriate person for partner drills. Ask the club about our Level 0 introductory class where everyone is new, or start with Level 1, where participants will have a range of experience, from beginner and up.
